Okay, first up, thank you LOADS to Lawrence and Emily for creating and pimping (respectively) the blog :) I think it's quite dark though, plus the font's quite small. What do you guys think? & We should make sure our classmates check the blog! I'll use the class blog to notify you guys on Solaris stuff yeah? Cuz in class it's hard to get everyone's attention plus I'm all scatterbrained and can't remember and articulate myself. Rawrr. Okay. :)
I might have missed out something.. HM. Okay, for Lantern Making, I'm not really sure of the details!! UGH! I'm not sure of any actually, I think Emily has the papers. But the gist of it is that we have to do.. something.. with lanterns. Heh. Well contribute your ideas! THE DEADLINE IS WEDNESDAY! VALENTINES DAY! which is the deadline for the Council form as well, so don't forget!! Bring as many ang paos as possible on monday k! Then we can like fold lanterns with them. And does anyone have the yellow pineapples?! Or where to get them? Those would be good. For Costume Making, we have to design like a CNY costume out of recycled materials. Which I thought we could get pieces of red materials (like cut out from magazines? or old clothes) and somehow put it together and get someone to wear it. for the Food, we need to bring.. food and arrange it to look like some form of food. Or something. Okay honestly I think all these are really really stupid competitions, but seeing as we're not the ones who thought of them (furture Councillers TAKE NOTE), we're going to have to do them anyway, and PLEASE. You guys, let's do a goood job? We're the only IP1 class in Solaris, let's not disappoint our seniors and future juniors. Calligraphy, we need to send in 4 people, one non-chinese, which means either Jade, Chris or Elsie right? UGH. So dumb. K for Valentines Day, I don't expect you guys to do anything, but I was thinking of one of Lisa's ideas, and I'm thinking of cutting out (yellow?) hearts for everyone of us, and everyone in class HAS to write something nice for our classmates. Like, we'll have 26 yellow hearts with our names on each and with 25 nice comments. And then we can stick it on our notice board :) (You know whut, while I'm writing this stuff all I can think if of Zi Hao being annoying and laughing at everyone and being mean. >:( Sorry Zhao. But I keep getting this mental image.) And don't forget to get something nice for your angels!! Even if you guys haven't been corresponding. They'll be revealed on Wednesday, and you can feel free to hate them forever if they've been ignoring you. Whut else.. oh yeah. And it should be a class contribution thing. Jason Ho has said he'll help us upload it if we write our class history up as a Word document, so we should try to find a good time to do it yeah? @ 5:58 pm YAY I'm posting. X)) urmurmurm and I have no idea what to say. SO I SHALL POST A JOKE. [ahem] There were three engineers and three accountants who took a train to a convention. The accountants bought one ticket EACH, but the engineers just bought one ticket for the three of them. Curious, the accountants went "But there are three of you! How can you get away with it?" Then engineers responded by going "WATCH." So when the conductor began his rounds, all three engineers went into the toilet and squeezed into one cubicle. When the conductor rapped on the door and went "Ticket, please", one of the engineers opened the door a crack and held out the ticket. The conductor took it and went on. Impressed, the accountants decided to try the same thing on the ride back. They bought one ticket, but were surprised to find that the engineers had bought NONE. "What're you planning NOW?" The accountants asked. But the engineers told them to wait and see. When the conductor began his rounds again, the engineers and the accountants squeezed into two cubicles opposite each other. After a pause, one engineer got out of the engineers' cubicle, crossed over to the accountants' one, knocked on the door, and went "Ticket, please." [cue diao looks/insane laughter] Got it from Cherze from O2. But it's funny, no?
